![]() ![]() ![]() I think that H5's movement system and all of the nuances comprising it were both more compelling than anything in Infinite, while also being a hinderance to that game's success. It was tough when that team formed as a Snip3 fan, I'll be honest.Īnd more regarding Infinite vs H5. Not sure who he'll try to team with, though it'll assuredly be a team of guys that he thinks he can compete with.ĮDIT: And I'll say that this new, Snip3down-less version of FaZe is going to be incredibly easy to root against. Should have been more clear.) in the bit I was following his stream today, so him saying that makes sense. Yeah I didn't get the impression that Snip3 was necessarily done (EDIT 2: with the game fully, but with his most recent team yeah. Infinite is a fundamentally great playing game failed by a dogshit content pipeline, and a host of catastrophically bad design/business decisions AROUND the game that inexplicably made it to the 'finished' product - chief among them a MP progression system so awful that they were already promising to rip it out and replace it at some TBA future date before the game was officially out, and some shaky netcode that inexplicably hasn't been a higher priority for them. I think the criticism of Infinite in many cases kinda departs reality and just becomes blanket negativity without perspective. Honestly, Infinite's current situation hurts more than H5 ever did for me, because I can see the incredible potential just sitting there wasting away as the studio tries* to get it's shit in order (I was going to say "scrambles", but that would imply speed.). It's why the game was initially massively popular, until the corners that had to be cut to make that release date became glaringly obvious as did the lack of content around that gameplay core. There's lots of things to lambast Infinite and 343 over (and lord knows I have on this forum), but Infinite has all of the basic gameplay blocks to be a great Halo. And at least with Infinite, the potential for future improvement is there. But at the same time, both games have extremely serious flaws. If we're being real, both games have their pros. Not only that, but H5 did its player retention system better too imo, even if it's comparing shitty with less shitty. Especially Halo and how 343 decides to run the multiplayer. I think H5 was way better in both of these regards, and that both of them are more important to the enjoyment of an online game than people realize/admit. There's definitely a few things I do think Infinite does better than H5, but the things I'd mostly meant in my earlier post was online play/netcode and matchmaking. That speaks to how good the other stuff was I think. Even though typically art direction IS one of the most important factors of a game for me. But with H5 it was never really about the looks, at least for me. Infinite looks light years better than H5 yeah. Click to shrink.Yeah you're probably right but you never know lol. ![]()
